Prayer of the Month: Gloria

Dec. 8th:  Immaculate Conception Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church.  Children are to be dropped off at Our Lady of Mercy Church  instead of at OLM.  Drivers are needed to bring the children to OLM after Mass.

Parish Sunday Mass:  Sunday December 13th at 7a.m.

Spirit of Christmas:  OLM Student Council is sponsoring a food drive for the less fortunate.  Please send in canned corn, green beans or peas by Wednesday December 16th.

December 18th: Early Dismissal Day

Dec 8th--Immaculate Conception Mass.  Drop off at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
Dec 10th --Advent Reflection led by Kindergarten 8 a.m. in auditorium.

This week we will work of Bear related activities and other literature based activities. Children may bring their teddy bears on Wednesday May 9th as we will go on a "Bear Hunt". If you would like to help on this day please see me.


Needed:
Children need to bring in either two cardboard toilet paper rolls or one cardboard paper towel roll. We will be using these in an art activity that corresponds with our "Bear Hunt".

The children have been working very hard reviewing and extending the skills and concepts introduced in the morning classes. We will continue to work on adding and subtracting, counting money, phonics skills, and especially reading and writing skills.

Thank you for bringing in the much needed supplies. Thank you also to Mrs. Pekney for donating the wonderful sand toys. The children are really enjoying them.

Lost & Found:
I have an unclaimed lunch box in my room. Come by if you think it may belong to your child.

This week we will learn about butterflies. We will have a variety of reading, writing, art and math butterfly activities.

If you would like to help in the classroom please see me. We would love to have you come in.

Please continue working on the sight words and phonics skills. We do many writing projects in the afternoon and confidence in these areas allow the children to be creative, successful and proud of their work.

We will continue to work on money. Please practice with your child naming the coins and adding using various coin combinations.

We have been learning about plants and our role as stewards of the environment. We have learned about the importance of plants and will plant seeds this week and monitor their growth.

Supplies Needed:
We have just about depleted our supply of Lysol and Clorox Wipes. Please sent 1 container of wipes in sometime this week. Thanks

Volunteers:
Thank you to P.J's mom, and Mrs. Wolf. They have been helping out in the classroom by preparing materials, reading, writing and playing games with the children. The children and I appreciate all your help.

Minimum Days:
There will be no Enrichment classes on the following days:

3/27 - 3/30 --Parent/Teacher Conferences
